 Battery Point is a rock n' roll quartet made up of four seasoned musicians, who have been turning heads on the east coast since they showed up on the scene in late 2007. Their honest and gritty form of true rock music has led the band to a well earned place among “bands to watch” in the east coast music scene.
Charlottetown, PEI native Dennis Ellsworth (formerly of The Rude Mechanicals and The Little Pilgrims), and Stephenville, Nfld's Bruce White, of the Korea-based band 'A Taste of Dinomite' are the band's main songwriters. Ellsworth and White teamed up with Charlottetown brothers, Craig and Brady MacDonald formerly of the hard rock band, 'Chamberlane', to form Battery Point.
Battery Point is fast acquiring a reputation for bringing a high energy, visually appealing set to the stage, as well as, first rate songwriting and songs. There is also the unique sound of two strong lead vocalists which adds to the appeal. It is not something found in many bands.
Battery Point’s latest recording project is titled “A Kick In The Blood”. They will be heading out in early October to record some new material with David Barbe at his Chase Transduction Studio in Athens GA in preparation for a new album scheduled for relase in the summer of 2010.
