Well Oiled II was the second compilation album from the magical Island that is PEI. The album was recorded at a cottage location in Savage Harbour by Adam Gallant in the summer of 2008. See below for the list of artists on Well Oiled II.
Well Oiled I was the first indie compilation CD to come out of PEI in almost five years. It was the brainchild of producer/engineer Adam Gallant. It featured fourteen bands from the Island music scene. See below for the list of artists on Well Oiled I.
Both projects were engineered and produced by Adam Gallant who also looked after the all important details of mastering and art work and took the financial risk of putting the CD out there for fans of local music to purchase. "It was just something I felt should be done" says the founding member of his latest musical project Raccoon Bandit. "Documenting a local music scene at a particular point in its development is always fun, It was just time to take a snapshot of what's going on around Charlottetown and the Island, he says. There's lots of talent out there", adds the Well Oiled creator who is working to bring another project to life that will once again help to document the local music scene in all its glory.
